President Ferdinand E. Marcos

Ferdinand Emmanuel Edralín Marcos was President of the Philippines from 1965 to 1986. He was a lawyer, member of the Philippine House of Representatives (1949­-1959) and a member of the Philippine Senate (1959-­1965). During World War II he claimed to be the leader of Ang Maharlika, a guerrilla force in northern Luzon. In 1963 he became Senate President.

President Manuel A. Roxas

President Manuel A. Roxas, the last President of the Commonwealth and First President of the Republic of the Philippines, served as a Brigadier General during World War II. An exemplary student in his days in the University of the Philippines, he embarked in a career in public service in both the executive and legislative branches.
