Huling Pagpupugay for Vanguard Ide C. Tillah ’57
UP Vanguard Inc. held its Huling Pagpupugay for Vanguard Ide C. Tillah ’57 last 05 August 2023 in the Ide Residence in Mandaluyong.
The activity started with an interfaith prayer. Afterwards, Vgd. Joe Magno gave a very touching eulogy for Vgd. Tillah where he described the generosity of Vgd. Ide and the Tillah family as he was considered an “adopted” son of the family during his military service in Jolo. He also shared how Vgd. Ide who belonged to a family of respected lawyers and government servants has been truly an embodiment of duty, honor and country. Brod Ide Tillah served as COMELEC Commissioner (1980-83) and as Commissioner for Islamic Affairs.
The Vanguard token was handed over by UPVI National Commander Chito Oreta and was received by his sons Rommel and Adbel, and the rest of the Tillah family.
