PROFESSIONALIZING U.P. VANGUARD THROUGH AN AUDIT AND FINANCE WORKSHOP

U.P. Vanguard, Inc. (UPVI) promotes financial transparency and government regulation compliance among its chapters and committees through an Audit and Finance Workshop held on 21 September 2024 at U.P. Diliman University Hotel.

Spearheaded by the leadership of U.P. Vanguard together with the UPVI Audit Committee, the workshop aims to professionalize and streamline UPVI's financial and audit processes. The workshop featured professional tax agent Angela Maravilla as its guest speaker, UPVI National Treasurer Vgd. Tony Reyes '84, and UPVI National Auditor Vgd. Myka Marteja '14, as they discussed basic bookkeeping and drafting of financial statements. Towards the end of the workshop, a fruitful consultation with the attending UPVI committee and chapter officers commenced to draft a proposed Audit and Finance Policy, subject to be approved and implemented by UPVI starting January 2025.
