Vanguards are built to adapt, improvise and overcome and this is true for the many brods who by profession, leisure, family or love have decided to live outside our motherland. Vincent “Vince” Doronila completed both his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and the ROTC advance course at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He is a member of Class Buhawi 1990. Upon graduation from the University, Brod Vince honed his skills in the architectural profession under the guidance of former UP College of Architecture Dean Geronimo V. Manahan and former United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) president Manuel T. Manosa. In 1996, he gained his professional registration as an architect and is a member of the UAP.

An active uniformed reservist, Brod Gary completed the Junior Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) course in Honolulu, Hawaii, and continued with the UP Corps of Cadets in Diliman, being a member of the UP Vanguard Class of 1990. He then received a commission as Lieutenant Colonel in the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) in 2005, and also serves with the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA), holding the rank of Commodore.
