Update as of 19 April 2020
Update as of 04 May 2020
Thanks to everyone’s contribution, as of yesterday, May 4, we have raised more than P2,104,000 for our U.P Vanguard COVID-19 Response Initiative.
P1,350,000 pesos of this amount has been allocated and partially spent for the procurement of 500 sets of hazmat suits and face shields, 800 isolation suits, and 1,000 sets of isolation gowns and sterilized caps while P576,200 has been allocated and partially spent in support to the various Chapter initiatives to assist the community. We are still working on collecting the receivables to cover the allocations.
We thank all the brods because with everyone’s collective efforts, our COVID-19 Response Initiative has been a great success. While we prepare the final accomplishment report, let us venture on to our next step, which is to help the brods adapt to the “new normal.”
Let us face these challenging times as one united Vanguard.
UPVI COVID-19 Response
04-09 May 2020
We have turned over 250 sets of isolation suits and head caps each to the New Sinai M.D.I. Hospital, La Union Medical Center, and Palanan Station Hospital.
Under the feeding program of Makati Chapter, we distributed arroz caldo ang milk to health workers, construction workers and union frontliners in UP Diliman. From the second batch of 200 pieces of dressed chicken donated by brod COMELEC Com. Al Parreño and the UPVI “Maharlika” Class of 1996, we donated 50 dressed chickens to the CRIBS Foundation-New Beginnings. The Makati Chapter also donated cement to the 522nd Engineer Construction Brigade.
Last Saturday, we also turned over PPE and alcohol to brod Col Arby Arboleda ’88 at the Installation Management Command, PA.
Thank you very much for your contributions.
