My Dear Brods,

We’ve been coping with our new normal in light of the COVID-19 pandemic for more than three months now, I hope you have been well.

Today, I am happy to inform you that we will be still be having a convention and election for our 98th year. It will be held on August 15, 2020, that’s a Saturday, and it’s going to be online. We are still finalizing the other details but I hope you can already save the date.

In the meantime, I need you to do two things in preparation for the online convention and election: 1) pay your annual dues, and 2) update your membership information. I hope you can accomplish these by the end of July in order to give the working group some time to process your accounts and information. Instructions on how to do this have been disseminated thru your chapters and our online communication channels. More announcements will follow so keep in touch.

As I have been saying since the beginning of the community quarantine, I request the Chapters to reach out to your members, classmates to look out for one another, especially those who may be challenged by lack of connectivity, so that we may be able to assist our brods in any way we can during this time.

Let us not let this pandemic weaken our fraternal bonds. I look forward to seeing you brods in our online convention and election on August 15, don’t forget!

The Silver Jubilee Class of 1995 wanted to bring you to Baguio, but this pandemic had other plans. So let’s bring Baguio to you on August 15!

Join the UPVI Baguio-NL Chapter at the Manang Mane breakout room right after the Convention. Manang Mane is UP Baguio’s unofficial gatekeeper, she’s the first thing you see upon entering the campus! Always ready with her welcoming smile, you will often see students and alumnus drop by for spicy peanuts (perfect for the cold weather!). Manag Mane is not just a vendor, but a confidant, adviser and pseudo-mother to UP Baguio students.
