Architect Vincent Angelo C. DoronilaClass of 1990

Vincent “Vince” Doronila completed both his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and the ROTC advance course at the University of the Philippines Diliman.  He is a member of Class Buhawi 1990.  Upon graduation from the University, Brod Vince honed his skills in the architectural profession under the guidance of former UP College of Architecture Dean Geronimo V. Manahan and former United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) president Manuel T. Manosa.  In 1996, he gained his professional registration as an architect and is a member of the UAP. 

Brod Vince has also developed a keen interest in sustainability and was awarded a study grant by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) in 1998 to attend a training course at the Lund University Centre for Habitat Studies in Sweden.  He has further honed his expertise in this specialized field of study by completing a post-graduate certificate on energy-efficient buildings at Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom in 2006.

Aside from his professional work and interests, Brod Vince also enjoys a wide range of hobbies such as sketching, cooking, landscape gardening and physical training.  He also holds a 2nd degree black belt in the Korean martial art of Hwarang-do and an instructor certificate in our own indigenous martial art of Arnis under the auspices of the Lema Scientific Kali Arnis System (LESKAS), disciplines that he learned while still a cadet officer at UP.  In his spare time, he is sharing his skills and knowledge in the martial arts with the younger generation, helping to mold them into responsible and upright citizens with the time-honored ideals and values instilled in him by the UP Corps of Cadets and the martial arts.

Brod Vince has been based in the United Kingdom since 2004 together with his spouse, Jonee, a nurse working with the UK’s National Health Service.  They have two sons, Nathaniel (+) and Isaac.
